Make-Up Artist

Duties and responsibilities:Make-up artists visually transform people using make-up, paint, wigs and other accessories to prepare them for photo shoots, filming, live performances and special events. Makeup artists work in many different environments, from spas and resorts to film and theater sets, and typically train both formally within a cosmetology program and independently, also they work  for weddings ,events and movies for famous people  .

Education:The requirement to become a makeup artist differs from state to state. Some states require license to practice as a makeup artist, while others do not. Some states require a certification with some practical classes, while some states do not require the practical classes.

Demand for this career:make-up artists was expected to grow 3.1% from 2012 to 2022, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (www.bls.gov). Individuals looking to enter this profession are expected to face keen competition, and openings are likely to go to the most experienced and skilled workers.

Reflection:I would like to be a makeup artist because i love how you can change people and make them look mean, scary or good makeup has a lot of potential and how you change people with it is awesome, i would like to be a makeup artist for famous people and work with people for movies or things like that.
